Go Green - Toilet Granules For Mercedes Campervan!

A fantastic toilet granule for the Mercedes campervan.  Kem Direct have produced a totally green product that is a dry granular product, so no spillage or staining, no horrible chemical smell, and completely breaks down the solids and paper.  The Caravan Club have recommended that campervans and caravans should use this product or similar on their sites.  Over in Europe many sites will not allow the campervan onto the campsite unless they have a green product like this.

Dongle Ariel for Campervan Convsersion

While looking into satellite internet connection for the v-trek campervans, I have come across a dongle ariel. This would be a great, cheaper alternative for the not so serious surfer while away on holiday.  The advantage to having an ariel installed into the campervan conversion would help the signal to the dongle become much stronger.  (Being encase by metal walls of the campervan is not helpful for a good signal!)  The ariel would be a permanent fitting and just plug into the dongle when the laptop is being used for connection to the internet.

Satellite Internet For Mercedes Campervan

While at the show in Germany we were keen to source an internet satellite dish for our Mercedes campervan conversions, this would enable the campervan user to connect to the internet, anywhere in the world while travelling away from home.  There are many different options available especially with the user tariffs.  Many people would benefit with the use of skype phone, for free telephone calls while away in their campervans, along with finding out local knowledge of places visited.

New Campervan Layout Ideas

While at the show in Germany we picked up many new ideas for the internal layout of our campervan conversion.  We liked the idea of one company who had rounded the corner of their sofa to give a slightly larger seating area within the lounge area of the campervan.  We were surprised to see that many campervans had not included a grill or main oven within them, only gas rings for cooking.

Great Campervan Show

We had a great show at Dusseldorf and met up with a new contact from Kubus. The company is based in Germany and converts Mercedes Sprinter vans into very high spec campervans, a very similar company to V-trek.  The conversion that we saw at the show was for a two birth campervan, but Kubus have converted large lorries for customers in the past.  Peter was able to pass on some very valuable advice and Kubus are interested in the V-trek rear door conversion to add to their range of vehicles.

Campervan Conversions & Caravan Show Dusseldorf

We are going to Germany this week to visit the huge trade show in Dusseldorf, to check out new ideas and appliances for our Mercedes conversions.

This show is held every year at the exhibition centre in Dusseldorf and is one of the largest in Europe with companies from all over the EU attending, so a great way to catch up on suppliers and find new ideas for our V-trek campervans.

If you also attended and saw any great new ideas, let us know!
